Mastering Transitional Style

Right now we're stuck in that spot where it still feels like summer, but we're excited about fall fashion. Transitional styling can be a challenge, being torn between dressing for the actual season and dressing for the weather.

My Outfit Has Got Me Feeling Thankful

The season of thanks is upon us and soon I will be hosting a feast for 28 family members and I couldn’t be more excited. Since I was a kid, Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday. I love what it stands for, I love the food and we all know I love any opportunity to dress a little nicer than usual.

I came up with this concept of a ‘Garment Spotlight’ blog one night while I had a few glasses of wine. Its intended tagline, ‘What is it. Why I love it. Where to buy it. How to style it.’ Honestly, I’m sober now and I still think it was a creative idea. So here we are, the first of many in the Garment Spotlight Series, I bring you the shacket.

A Lesson Learned in Quarantine

I feel like I could write this blog over and over again because I have learned so much about myself, relationships and even my own personal style while staying closer to home for the last 9 months or so. I compare it to when you turn the lights out at night. Suddenly, when you can’t see, your other senses become heightened. Take away social events, and all of a sudden you start noticing things about yourself more.

The ONE thing you Need to Know Before Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It has been probably since I was about 5 years old. Each year we would visit my grandmother in NYC and chow on delicious Puerto Rican food and the best damn turkey ever cooked. (I’m still working on that). So needless to say, hosting for my family has been a HUGE honor and something I look forward to all year.
