Summer Trends That I am Here For

Hey Ladies! I missed you! It has been a hot minute since I wrote a blog but I am committed to be back! In the spirit of warmer months, I wanted to talk about the summer trends that I am all about right now. Being super trendy isn’t something I aspire to be, and actually, its the opposite of what I teach to my clients. I love creating timeless wardrobes that can be versatile season over season, but occasionally, there is a trend that I like to mix into my wardrobe to make it feel fresh. Opting into a trend should feel right. If you feel uncomfortable in it, they its probably not the trend for you, and that OK. And the great thing about having a timeless wardrobe is that you can easily mix in a trend or two each year and it will fit seamlessly in with your existing wardrobe. Here are 3 summer trends that you’ll be seeing me wear on repeat.

Be Kind.

Hi! I missed you guys! It has been a bit, but please know I’ve been thinking of you all!

When I was thinking about what to present to you all this week, this month, even this year I was, well, sorta stumped. There are so many heavy things going on, do we need a blog to discuss new tops or the best jeans? And the more I thought about it, the more I realized, yes! Definitely yes!

A Lesson Learned in Quarantine

I feel like I could write this blog over and over again because I have learned so much about myself, relationships and even my own personal style while staying closer to home for the last 9 months or so. I compare it to when you turn the lights out at night. Suddenly, when you can’t see, your other senses become heightened. Take away social events, and all of a sudden you start noticing things about yourself more.

The ONE thing you Need to Know Before Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It has been probably since I was about 5 years old. Each year we would visit my grandmother in NYC and chow on delicious Puerto Rican food and the best damn turkey ever cooked. (I’m still working on that). So needless to say, hosting for my family has been a HUGE honor and something I look forward to all year.

An American Classic: Jeans and Tee

It doesn’t get more basic than a white tee and jeans. Don’t confuse basic for boring. I’m not sure how or why that happens, maybe because often times people forget the most important part of wearing a basic look… accessories and visual interest. I remember once with a client, she was looking for a formal dress but wanted it to be ‘different’ and ‘flashy’. My advice to her was, a well fitting simple black dress is more stunning than something with 3-D adornments. What I’m saying here is that your look doesn’t have to be all flashy to be amazing.
