Red Carpet to Real Life: Grammy's 2020

Sunday night’s Grammy’s were white hot and umm, a reality check?? I’m not sure how I can listen to the radio everyday and yet still not know half of the songs or artists featured, but I guess that’s me getting old! Regardless on whether I knew who everyone was or not, the Grammy’s did not disappoint with its fun and even outrageous fashions. But last night, it was all the white on the red carpet that gave me all the feels! Often people associate white with being bridal, but the looks below had the perfect amount of embellishment, shine and elegance- perfect for the red carpet… no alters here!

How to Shop Sale Like a Pro

This weeks post is coming directly off the coat tails of last week’s. With all of the crazy end of season sales going on, I wanted to share some of my insider tips on how to most effectively shop a sale rack. When I’m shopping, specifically a sale rack, there are certain things I look for and ultimately, can’t pass up.

Winter Rut Remedies

Yes, I’m well aware we’re rolling off a 65+ degree weekend. Yes, its January.

This past weekend was such a dream and so needed after all the formalities of the holidays. It was so great to be outside all day with friends and the kiddos playing corn hole and dodging power wheel trucks, and enjoying some wine :) But lets face it, that wind has been kicking and I know the 30 degree days aren’t gone for good and we still have a few more months until my pool cover is off. So here are some tips on how to get through the winter rut.

Red Carpet to Real Life: Golden Globes 2020

With award season upon us, naturally, you can find me on the couch watching the red carpet. If you know me, you know how much of a visual person. And if you really know me, you know how much I love dessert. So for me, red carpets are like a Chop House brownie sundae for my eyes, without the cals. (But if you live in South Jersey, check out the the brownie sundae at the Chop House, because those cals are totally worth it lol). So I was thinking one day, instead of just summarizing the red carpet for you and telling you my favs or fails, why not recreate some of the looks with my interpretation of what the real life, everyday version is!

Happy New Year!

Hey 2020! Nice to meet you!

I’ve thought about this post for a few days now, and unfortunately I’ve just written myself in circles. It should be inspirational, right? Motivational? Probably. But how many times can we read “New Year, New You” before we get numb to it? Today, by chance the sandwich shop I often work from was closed, so I’ve set up shop down the street at Starbucks. So picture it with me- me sitting at a high top, smelling the strong aroma of coffee, staring into space about what to talk to you all about. It should be relevant, real, honest and maybe even funny. I’ve got nothing. And then, I look to my left. They have a whole sticky note wall of motivational quotes written by customers. Its so beautiful seeing all of the different handwriting and motivating words. For whatever reason, this wall of thoughtful mantras seemed to pack more of a punch for me seeing it written. It was like seeing it in someone’s own handwriting made it feel more genuine.
